Feeling good and looking great on your wedding day involve a little pre-planning.  Even for those of us who don't wear a lot of (or any) make-up on a regular basis, this is an exception to that norm.  When you're having pictures taken you want your face to stand out without looking clownish.  It's a great idea to find a make-up artist you like, then do a trial-run a couple of months before the wedding to make sure you're comfortable with the look.  It should still be "you," just more so.  Make it a special occasion - plan to dress up a little and take him out for dinner afterwards to get the most mileage out of your trial.

If you're happy with the look, you can choose to have that same artist do your make-up on your wedding day (if they are available) or go ahead and purchase the necessary colors & an application lesson instead.  I like this route because you can practice until the wedding, and you don't have to worry about another appointment on that oh-so-busy-day.

The same "trial" advice goes for your hair.  First, make sure your chosen hair stylist is available the day of your wedding.  Then a couple of months ahead of time make an early appointment for a trial run.  This ensures you'll be able to test it's staying power, and you'll have all day to make sure you're comfortable with the look.  A good friend of mine did this, cried all day, and changed her mind completely about how she wanted her hair done.  A lesson I've kept with me.

Do you have long hair?  I strongly recommend you get an up-do, especially in the summer.  Long hair is gorgeous for the first hour or so, but it just doesn't hold up well, and by the time you get to the reception it's almost guaranteed to look. . . Ragged?  Crumpled?  Disarrayed?  Pick your adjective, and remember there are still a lot of pictures to be taken at the reception.  After all those hours, all those pictures, and all those hugs. . . well, just think about it.  Also, it's very sweaty in the summer on top of all that dress you're wearing.  If, however, down is your favorite way to wear your hair & how you feel comfortable, then just enjoy it and ignore me.

A massage is an excellent way to relax a couple of days before the wedding.  If you're not used to getting massages, though, make sure you do it at least 2 days before the wedding.  You can end up a little sore the day after a good massage.

Massage gift certificates are also a great way to say "thank you" to parents and bridal party members.   Consider starting your bachelorette party off right with a round of in-home chair massages.
